UK Police gets a taste of the medicine they were pushing to serve

In an article zone-h published on 7 – 25-05 about The Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) in UK asking for permission to attack terrorist websites and websites they deemed to have illegal or abusive content, it was nearly obvious from the start that they were referring solely to Islamic terrorist sites and sites that promote or condone any terrorist activity. And this is worldwide, they were wanting to be legally able to attack any website they wanted by means of ddos. SyS64738 had a pretty harsh comment to that article as you can see on http://www.zone-h.org/en/news/read/id=205957/.

Well in a recent twist of fate the ACPO’s main website was recently defaced by Islamic defacers and has been down around 3 weeks now. At the time of this article the website is still down. I’m not sure if this defacement was related to the legislation they were trying to pass or if they had actually been attacking websites but they must surely see the irony in this. You can see the defacement at http://www.zone-h.org/defacements/mirror/id=2941951/ The link to the
ACPO’s offline website is http://www.acpo.police.uk/index.htm.

Google’s cache comes in handy to show us how ACPO’s website looked like just before the defacement:

UPDATE: 15 minutes after we posted this news, the website has been restored
