Slightly more interesting is the release of a Vietnamese man from prison from what was described as for publishing on the Internet several stories critical of the communist government ( which was very likely genuine and truthfull information ). In doing research for Zone-h, we found more information about Internet restrictions being imposed on citizens of many more people and nations than we had previously thought. Most are the obvious ones ( Chinese replublics in particular ) others include Tunisia, Burma, Singapore and UAE. Other nations may or may not filter content, but are obviously aware of what individual citizens are doing, as you see in the case in Vietnam. LibertUs based in Australia, keeps an eye open on the prevalent Internet censorship statistics and current state of affairs in regards to those countries mentioned and others, as well as their governments official polices.
