Microsoft's new OneCare service is being sold to protect the customers that are affected by the companies own flaws! Priced at usd $49.95 a year this new service offers anti-virus protection, firewall services as well as anti-spyware and even PC tuneup tips as security protections for its own Windows operating system. This is like Ford selling fire insurance for 1970's era Pinto cars that exploded when rear ended. In recent years Microsoft has been plagued by many vulnerabilities in most of their software products, leading to compromise of customer PC's by worms, viruses and hackers. Microsoft is even in your oven... according to the OneCare blog and i quote: Q: Does Windows Live OneCare collect any data from the user? A:"... we collect data that helps us analyze the spread of malware and other PC health problems. This includes things like the name of the malware found in a scan and the locale of the operating system" So they are admitting that they are tracking you via ip address and correlating that data to your area of the world. Yes folks, Microsoft has now become big brother ( but its OK... they got cake! ). I think I'm going to start eating pie from now on...

What next for Microsoft? They have now come up with the ultimate catch-22 moneymaker. And you thought they were already too rich? Well it seems they have figured out not only how to bake a cake and sell it to you, but are now selling you the toilet paper so you can wipe after the cake comes out!
