ZH2004-051724-WDC Weekly Defacement Commentary 17 - 24 May This has been the most interesting week of the WDC ever, due to the amount of high profile sites defaced. The new Windows 2003 site Microsoft.com got defaced by Pharoeste e Wolfblack of the brasilian group "OutLaw" http://www. zone-h.org/defacements/filter/filter_defacer=OutLaw who used SQL injection to post their name in http://www.microsoft.com/mspress/uk Here are the mirror and a screenshot of the defacement: http://www.zone-h.org/defacements/mirror/id=1246363 http://www.zone-h.org/files/77/microsoft.com.gif For further info read Siegfried's news "Microsoft defaced once again!" by clicking here http://zone-h.org/en/news/read/id=4251 This defacement was not the only Microsoft of this week; few days ago we pubblished the mirror notified on 05/16/2004 of microsoft.com.mx (this Redeface is part of the Mass deface that iskorpitx shared with group MAViDENiZ last week in a mexican Windows2000 server) Link to Iskorptix's defacements http://www.zone-h.org/en/defacements/filter/filter_defacer=iskorpitx Another interesting hit was related to the occurrence of 05/19/2004 when a brasilian hacker defaced the official russian site http://hackusa.narod.ru of Hacker Against America, the crew of cyberterrorist that started recruiting skilled people in Brazil, China and Russia to begin a cyberwar against United States of America. This was a special deface also for the technical skills used by the brasilian hacker MFAA, who got valid credential leading thorugh dns poisoning HAA members to his own page instead administrative control panel of the site. Zone-H already wrote two news about this subject: English news http://www.zone-h.org/en/news/read/id=4244/ Italian news http://www.zone-h.it/it/news/read/id=670/ Newsworthy the infamous deface of Xvid.org done by the brasilian group BloodBR. A rumor about their rm -rf is still unconfirmed and these days most of people is in doubt about downloading new codec from xvid's hacked site. Xvid.org mirror: http://www.zone-h.org/en/defacements/mirror/id=1221949 BloodBR defaces: http://www.zone-h.org/en/defacements/filter/filter_defacer=BloodBR Interesting also the group TriboHacking that this week defaced lot of high profile sites even if just Redefacements: http://www.zone-h.org/en/defacements/special/filter/filter_defacer=TriboHacking/page=1 More specials of the week linking here: http://zone-h.org/en/defacements/special SPAX Zone-H admin
