According to Heise security, the Pentagon spokesman assured that all the information contained into the jeopardized mail server were not confidential, and he pointed out that Pentagon’s security system can count on a large amount of protections in order to guarantee that operations and missions will not be endangered. Mr. Gates also said that the Pentagon is constantly under attacks and he could not explain why this specific attempt had been so effective. A formal investigation has been opened upon this case.
