Monday, 05 February 2007

Criminal hunting methods are changing more and more according to the development of new technologies and  instruments but recently, a strange trend is revolutionizing criminal investigation techniques..

The trend consists in making pleas about cases of  murders, kidnappings, burglaries and other crimes on social networks such ad MySpace in order to hit the attention of the widest range of people and possibly collect information to help investigations. In other words, these pleas work as high-tech equivalents of "wanted" posters.

Geopolitics
Wednesday, 31 January 2007

Walking around in London could soon become problematic: it is not a matter of architectural barriers or physical checks , instead the problem is that a subtle and  invasive form of urban-perquisition is about to be adopted by British Government  to trap terror suspects: X- Rays.

Less than two weeks ago it was discussed the proposal to scatter “body scanners” in  streets, parks and public places in the UK. This means that each passer-by will be immortalized in a   “naked” picture  that is aimed to search illicit  weapons.

What is not said , is that the above website is actually the blog of Davey Winder at Daniweb where he provide a deep analysis of the viruses and gives TomTom's responses in full.

There he writes: “It started with an email from a worried satnav user, Lloyd Reid of Trichromic LLP an IT consultant who knows his way around a computer and knows a virus when his AV software flags one up.  The cause for his concern being a newly purchased TomTom GO 910 satnav unit that, once connected to his PC, immediately caused an anti-virus software alert.
